Two of the UK’s most prestigious art prizes open their exhibitions this month, The Hepworth Prize for Sculpture and Artes Mundi 8 in Cardiff. Both have exciting and diverse shortlists as they go from strength to strength.
In London, the new Turbine Hall commission opens on Tuesday with a major new work by Tania Bruguera. For something on a more intimate scale, Studio Voltaire are hosting open studios on 27 October (12.00-19.30) in their 30 on-site spaces, displaying a range of practice including painting, sculpture, installation, sound and film.
