Maryam Hoseini in conversation with Hettie Judah (26 March 2024 16:30 - 17:30)

Watch the CAS CPD Events featuring an online conversation between artist Maryam Hoseini and author and art critic Hettie Judah. This 1 hr virtual gathering was conceived as a result of the acquisition of Maryam Hoseini’s 'Private Quarter (Midnight-Midday)', a piece that embodies ideas about women's rights, gender justice and identity politics. The painting has been donated to York Art Gallery through the Valeria Napoleone XX Contemporary Art Society award, which supports the acquisition of a significant work(s) by a living woman artist for a museum collection every year. Hettie and Maryam will engage in a conversation on the processes, research and ideas derived from the colours, figures and forms of the work.
