The Jackson Tang Ceramics Award (2018-21) was designed to support a major acquisition of ceramic work for our Museum Members.
Recent years have seen a significant increase of interest in ceramics and many artists have adopted the medium without formal training. Rather than limiting the Award to either artists whose primary material is ceramic, or those who employ the process and material occasionally (studio ceramics, or sculptural or conceptual practice), the scheme was open to both Fine Art and Craft scheme members.
