Join us for a curator craft day in London, for Arts professionals to learn more about the most innovative craft practices in the UK today.

The day will start at the Wallace Collection at 14:00, where we will visit artist in residence Jacob van der Beughel. Jacob van der Beughel studied History of Art at York University. He trained with Rupert Spira in 2002, then became an assistant to Edmund de Waal in 2003 and finally set up his own studio in Devon in 2004. His work varies in scale, but it is always meticulously made by hand, embracing the notion that ‘in order to extract meaning from one’s art, one needs to employ exceptional levels of effort’. His work is collected internationally.

We will then have a special tour of Collect, the international art fair for modern craft and design, where we will have the opportunity to hear artists and gallerists talk about selected works.
