Vincent Woropay (b. London, UK 1951 - d. 2002) studied at Portsmouth School of Art & Design (1973-4), Brighton Polytechnic (1974-7) and at the Slade School of Fine Art (1977–9). He won a Rome Scholarship in Sculpture at the British School at Rome (1979–81). Woropay had extensive teaching experience, visiting lectureships including the Architectural Association; The Bartlett School of Architecture; Slade School of Fine Art; Eton College; Ulster University; and many provincial schools of art. From 1981–91 he lectured at Middlesex Polytechnic, from 1991 being senior lecturer at Wimbledon School of Art. In July 1994 he was artist-in-residence at Lamphey Bishop’s Palace, Pembrokeshire.
