Sally Moore (1962)

Biography

Sally Moore (b. Cardiff, Wales, UK 1962) studied at South Glamorgan Institute (1980-1); Ruskin School of Drawing (1981-4); and at Birmingham Polytechnic (1986-7). Among Moore’s many awards were a travelling scholarship, Somerville College, Oxford, 1983; WAC Grant, 1986; Abbey Memorial Scholarship at British School, Rome 1992–3; and prizewinner, National Eisteddfod, Wales, 1994. In 1988 she had a residency at Delfina Studios Trust for two years. In addition to many group exhibitions had a series of solo shows, later ones including Long & Ryle Art International, 1991, and Martin Tinney Gallery, Cardiff, 1995. She painted photorealist portrait and genre pictures.
