Biography
Robert Kilvington (b. Wantage, Oxfordshire, UK 1967) studied at Parnham College (1989-91) and the Royal College of Art, London (1992-1994). He was shortlisted for the 1999 FX Int. Interior Design Awards : Best product for public spaces - Wave benches and shortlisted for The Jerwood Prize For Applied Arts : Furniture (both in 1999); South West Arts Craft Award, Exeter and winner of the furniture category, The Scottish Design Awards 1998, Wave Benches for Art.tm, Inverness (both in 1998); winner - Vale of White Horse District Council Design Awards, Tilsley Park & Sculpture, Abingdon, Oxon 91997); winner - Ness Furniture Design Award, Ness Furniture, Croxdale, England (1997) and won First Prize, British Steel Melchett Awards, British Steel; and First Prize for design, Storage for Europe Competition, Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers (both 1994). He has undertaken many furniture and public art sculpture commissions throughout the UK.
