Biography
Philip Akkerman (b. Vaassen, Netherlands 1957) studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and at Ateliers ’63 in Haarlem. Since 1981 he has painted almost exclusively self-portraits employing different techniques and media, now a total of more than 10,000. One of the largest collections of his work is in the Museum Voorlinden, Wassenaar.
