Biography
Peter Wüthrich (b. Bern, Switzerland 1962) has created various public artworks: for the new Palais de la Justice in Strasbourg (2006), for the new Biblioteca Vasconcelos in Mexico City (2007) and for the new Building of the German Government (Deutscher Bundestag) in Berlin (2012). Since 1999, he has been working on an ongoing public photography project The Angels of the World in: Los Angeles, Santiago de Compostela, Mexico City, Madrid, London, Tokyo, Nagoya, Kyoto, Paris, Venice, São Paulo, Santos, Thessaloniki, Biel/Bienne, Monaco, Mumbai, Yerewan, Giumry and Genève. He lives and works in Interlaken. The Contemporary Art Society donated Von der Kunst Strausse zu binden VIII (Ninety Nine Books), 1997-8, an installation of clothbound books, to the University of Warwick Art Collection.
