Biography
Oliver Laric (b. Innsbruck, Austria 1981) is based in Berlin. Encompassing objects, videos and sculptures, Laric's works spans the liminal space between the past and the present, the authentic and the inauthentic, the original and its subsequent reflections and reconfigurations. His work explores the productive potential of the copy, the bootleg and the remix, and examine their role in the formation of both historic and contemporary image cultures. He has had recent solo exhibitions and MIT list Visual Arts Centre, Cambridge MA (2013) and Skulpturhalle, Basel (2011).
