Nancy Angus (1958)

Biography

Nancy Angus (b. Bath, UK 1958) originally trained at the Cardiff Institute, Univeresity of Wales and worked in ceramics, having won a setting up award from the Crafts Council (1985). Her solo exhibitions included at the Craft and Design Centre, City Art Gallery, Leeds (1984) and the Crafts Council (1989). Group shows were held at New Ashgate Gallery, Farnham (2006); Contemporary British Ceramics, Los Angeles (2003); Contemporary Applied Arts (2002); Hatfield House (2004); Classics VII, Kortrijk, Belgium (1998); Chests for Treasure, Crafts Council Gallery Shop (1995); Chelsea Crafts Fair (1992); The Oxford Gallery (1990); Ten Boxes, touring exhibition (1991). She is based in Brighton and now works with collage and paint on paper and wood, inspired by her walks on the Sussex South Downs and the Lake District.
