Biography
Michael Marriott (b. Essex, UK 1963) studied at the London College of Furniture and the Royal College of Art (1993), where he later taught. He has been a furniture and industral designer since 1992. Marriott was the first ever winner of the Jerwood Furniture award (1999). His work spans objects, furniture, interiors, exhibitions, installations, and publications, with clients and collaborators including SCP, VG&P (Very Good & Proper), the ICA, Design Museum, British Council, Venice Biennale, Established & Sons, Jasper Morrison, and Paul Smith.
