Mary Henrietta Uppleby Hogarth (1861 - 1935)

Biography

Mary Henrietta Uppleby Hogarth (b. Barton-on-Humber, Lincolnshire 1861 - d. 1935) studied at the Slade School of Fine Art. She taught drawing at the Wycombe Abbey School and exhibited with the New English Art Club in 1914. She is known for her paintings and etchings of architectural scenes; she illustrated Scenes in Athens and Fountains of Rome (1913) as well as an embroiderer.
