Biography
Margaret Curtis Haythorne (b. Toxteth, Liverpool, UK 1893 - d. 1973) sister of Edmund Curtis, also an artist was educated at Liverpool City School of Art around 1915 and later at the Central School of Arts and Crafts. She exhibited in Liverpool, the Royal Academy and The Redfern Gallery. She was elected Associate member of the Society of Wood Engravers,1924. SHe designed posters for London County Council Tramways, including 'ull Days made bright in the Museums, 1922. Her work is held in the V&A Museum, the London Transport Museum and also in the British Museum.
