Marco Compagnoni was Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Contemporary Art Society from January 2018 until December 2023. He is a senior partner at the US-headquartered law firm Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP, and co-head of the firm’s international Private Equity group. Marco has worked on some of the largest transactions in the private equity market and is consistently recognised as a leading lawyer by legal directories. He has been described by The Lawyer Magazine as “one of the best private equity lawyers in town”.
Marco has served as a Trustee of the Royal Opera House and Sadler’s Wells Theatre, Governor of the Royal Ballet Company and Chairman of the Friends of Covent Garden. He has also been a Trustee of the Serpentine Gallery and is involved in a range of public art and related programmes and initiatives.
