Lisa Gallacher (1974)

Biography

Lisa Gallacher (b. Dumfres, Scotland, UK 1974) graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2003 and continues to live and work in Glasgow whilst also being involved in projects throughout Scotland and Europe.  Her work focuses on designing and creating wearable clothes' collections then can be seen as artworks in their own right. She held a residency, called Made to Measure at Parson Cross in 2011, involving the local residents as collaborators. She followed this community practice with a commisson, TRDM: Dumfries from the artists' collective The Stove by working with 10 local volunteers, 'Doonhamers', in her own home town, creating 10 bespoke garments, in 2012.
