Biography
Kristof(f)er Ganer, né Eriksen (b. Kristiania, now Olso, Norway 1889 - d. Oslo 1962) took drawing lessons at Brødr. Brunskov Photochemical Institute 1905–06 and studied at The Royal Art School under Eivind Nielsen (1864-1939) 1906–07, under Johan Nordhagen (1856-1956) between 1907–13 and 1914–15 and with the sculptor Thorbjørn Alvsåker (1885-1960) around 1928. He was a Norwegian painter, printmaker and sculptor/medallist. He exhibited at the World Exhibition in San Francisco in 1915 and won prizes for his etchings. He founded the Association of Norwegian Graphic Designers in 1919.
