Konrad Srzednicki (1894 - 1993)

Biography

Konrad Srzednicki (b. Wysokie Mazowieckie, Poland 1894 – d. Krakow 1993) studied painting and graphic arts at the School of Painting and Drawing (1921-24) and the School of Fine Arts, both in Warsaw where he was also an assistant. From 1931 he was a member of Ryt (Association of Polish Graphic Artists), the Group of 9 Graphic Artists (1952-60) as well as being an honorary member of the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. In 1939 he became an associate professor of graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow until 1952. His wife, Olga Peczenko-Srzednicka (1918 -1975) was a student of his and also became a graphic designer.
