Jeffrey Dellow (1949)

Biography

Jeffrey Dellow (b. Newcastle upon Tyne 1949) studied at St Martin’s School of Art (1968-9); Maidstone College of Art (1969-71) and Slade School of Fine Art (1972-4), followed by the Cheltenham Fellowship (1974-5). He participated in group shows, including John Moores Exhibition, Liverpool (1976, 1989 & 1991-2 - when he was a prizewinner) and  he was also an Athena Awards prizewinner (1988). He had solo shows at Castlefield Gallery, Manchester (1988), Todd Gallery (1989), and deliART (2001) - when he showed abstract works showing the influence of his stay in Zimbabwe (1990). Dellow was head of painting at Kingston Polytechnic from 1988 and in 1995, he was a founding member of Art in Perpetuity Trust and his studio is currently based there in an old warehouse on Deptford Creek, South London.
