Howard Selina (1948)

Biography

Howard Selina (b. Leeds, Yorkshire, UK 1948) studied at St Martin’s School of Art (1966-69) and the Royal Academy Schools (1969-72), after which he had an exhibitions at the Thomas Gibson Gallery, London and the Situation Gallery, London (both 1972) and PMJ Self Gallery, and Gallery House, London and he was also included in the New Tendencies Exhibition in Zagreb (all 1973). He lived in Denver, Colorado and New York City, USA between 1974-76 after which he returned to live in London. Selina has worked particularly in publishing and illustration. He has collorarated with Michael Zelenkus since 1994 and in 2006 he moved to a studio in West Yorkshire.
