Biography
Hiroki Iwata (b. Tokyo, Japan 1965) studied at the Tokyo National University of Fine Art and Music (1992). He is one of the few Japanese metal artists researching and experimenting with enamel and in 2003 he became Director of the Japan Enamelling Artists Association. He is also a member of the Japan Craft Design Association and has exhibited widely in Japan and bbroad in both solo and group shows, winning many prizes. Iwata is currently a senior professor at Tokyo University of the Arts.
