Graham Leishman Stewart (1955 - 2020)

Biography

Graham Stewart (b. Bridge of Allan, Scotkland, UK 1955 - d.  Edinburgh 2020) was a designer, gold and silversmith who has been running his workshop and gallery in Dunblane, Scotland since 1978.  He was educated at Dollar Academy and Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen.  He produced sculptural pieces of silver from high profile commemorative presentation pieces to fine quality functional silver. The silver is produced using traditional techniques such as raising, spinning, cold forging, planishing, and chasing. Stewart specialised in fine hand-cut engraving and made a small range of fine jewellery. His recent exhibitions were held at the The Goldsmiths' Centre, London (2016, 2017 and 2019) and at the Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh (2014 and 2018).
