Eric Detthow (1888 - 1952)

Biography

Eric Detthow (b. Vassända-Naglum, near Vänersborg. Sweden 1888 – d. Paris 1952) studied at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm and later in Paris, where he exhibited at the Salon d'Automne, during the 1920s. Detthow was influenced by the works of Georges Seurat and Paul Cézanne whose palette of cool greens and blues he imitated.
