David Mackie Cook (1957)

Biography

Duncan Mackie Cooke (b. Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland, UK 1957) studied at Duncan of Jordanstone School of Art, Dundee under Alberto Morrocco and David McClure. He won the Guthrie Award at the Royal Scottish Academy in 1982.  During the 1990s Cook travelled regularly to Turkey, the Balearics and significantly, at the invitation of the Everard Reed Gallery, to Southern Africa for three months in 1997. He is represented by the Fraser Gallery St Andrews and has exhibited at the Scottish Gallery in Edinburgh in 2009 and again in 2017.
