Daphne Lindner (1912 - 2012)

Biography

Daphne Linder (b. Chltenham, UK 1912  - d. 2012), daughter of a manufacturer, Murray Lindner, and neice of the landscape and marine artist Moffat Lindner (1852-1949).  She  was educated privately and then attended Cheltenham College of Art winning a scholarship to the Royal College of Art in London where she won a Robert Austin Prize and a silver medal. She was an associate of the of Royal Society of Painters Etchers, 1935 and exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1935 and 1936.
