Craig Coulthard (1981)

Biography

Craig Coulthard (b. British Military Hospital, Rinteln, West Germany 1981) is an artist and songwriter who studied fine art at Edinbugh College of Art (1998-2002; 2004-2006). He  was joint founder member of artist group 'Win Together Lose Together Play Together Stay Together' (2003) and joint founder, committee member and director of The Embassy, an artist-run gallery (2003-06), in Edinburgh. He has exhibited throughout Scotland in group and solo shows. He was awarded £460,000 commission for Forest Pitch, Scotland's contribution to Artists' Taking the Lead, part of the London 2012 Festival and Cultural Olympiad. Funded by Creative Scotland. His The Source of Eden and Directions for the Creationist Canoeist (Parts I & II) are in the Paisley Museum donated by the Contemporary Art Society in 2006.
