Clément Charles (1889 - 1972)

Biography

Charles Clément (b. Rolle, Switzerland 1889 - d.  Lausanne, Switzerland 1972) studied at the Königlische Kunst Akademie, Düsseldorf (1909-10) and the Grande Chaumière, Paris (1911-12). He first exhibited in his family town of Lausanne in 1914. His first solo exhibition was held at the Wolfsberg Art Salon, Zurich. He was also an art historian and critic as well as a curator in Paris.
