Beatrice Gibson (1978)

Biography

Beatrice Gibson (b. London 1978) lives and works in London. Her recent solo exhibitions include MUDAM Musee d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean, Luxembourg (2016) and Collective Gallery, Edinburgh (2015). Recent group exhibitions include Ballroom Marfa, Texas (2017); Contemporary Art Centre Parc Saint Leger, Pougues-es-Eaux, Bourgogne, France (2016) and Whitechapel Gallery, London (2014) and Camden Art Centre, London; Bergen Kunsthall; and Mercer Union, Toronto (all 2019). Recent group exhibitions include Ballroom Marfa, Texas (2017); Contemporary Art Centre Parc Saint-Leger, Pouguesles-Eaux, Bourgogne, France (2016); and Whitechapel Gallery, London (2014). In 2015 Gibson won the 17th Baloise Art Prize, Art Basel, and more recently she was the recipient of the Images Festival Award for Autobiography (2019). Her latest film premiered at Cannes Film Festival 2019.
