Biography
Ann van Hoey (b. Mechelen, Belgium 1956) only became a full-time ceramicist when she was 50 years old, having practised ceramics as a hobby previously. In 2006 she obtained a degree in Ceramics from the IKA (Institute for Arts and Craft) in Mechelen, and soon she began to receive international recognition, winning awards in Korea, Germany and Italy. Her work has been featured in various group exhibitions, including Taiwan International Ceramics Biennale, Yingge Ceramics Museum (2016) and The Salon Art + Design, New York City (2016).
