Biography
Alice Mayes was the first wife of the artist David Bomberg whom she had met in 1914 and travelled to Paris with after his foirst solo show. She had worked with Kosslov's Ballet Company. They married in 1916 but he later married the artist Lilian Holt (1898-1983) in 1929.
