Adi Toch (1979)

Biography

Adi Toch (b. Jerusalem, Israel 1979) studied metalwork at the Bezalel Academy of Arts, Jerusalem and at The Cass, London Metropolitan University (2007-09). She has settled in London and finding jewellery’s dependency on the body rather limiting, she started to work on larger metal objects instead, with particular interest in vessels. Her work draws inspiration from historic objects but also investigates contemporary concerns.

Toch is a lecturer at the Royal College of Art and has taught and exhibited across the world. Her work is held in major private and public collections including the V&A Museum in London, The Crafts Council, The Goldsmiths’ Company, Museum of London, Fitzwilliam Museum Cambridge, National Museums Scotland, National Museum Wales, Ulster Museum Belfast and The Jewish Museum New York.
